Bedtime Stories for Kids

Once upon a time, there lived an old man in a far-off village. He was a very rich man and had a lot of money consisted of gold coins. He had a garden in his house. He dug up a hole in the garden, put a box in the hole and hid all his money in that box. Every day, before going to sleep, the old man went to the hole, opened the box and felt happiness and pleasure to see his treasure. It was his daily routine.
By chance one night when the old man was counting his gold coins in the garden, a thief looked all of this. After a few days, the thief got a chance, when this old man went to the nearby city to buy some daily use. As the sun set and it was darkness, the thief entered the house. He went straight to the place, where all the treasure was hidden. He dug the hole, opened the box and put all the gold coins in a sack and ran away.
The next night old man, as usual, went to the hole to watch his money. There was nothing except an empty hole. The gold coins of the old man had been stolen. The old man started to cry loudly. The neighboring people gathered there to inquire about the matter.
People asked, “Why are you crying”?
“Someone has stolen all my gold coins” Replied the old man.
When the people heard about all the happenings, they started to cut jokes as the foolish act of the miser. God gives money people to spend to meet the needs of the family. If someone has plenty of money, he should help other needy people.

Moral: It is no use of crying, over spilled milk.
