The Camel and the Baby

The Camel and the Baby

Bedtime Stories for Kids

Short Stories with Moral

One day, a camel and her baby were gossiping. The camel baby asked mother camel, Mom! “Why camels have humps over their bodies?” The mother camel replied, “God gives us humps to store the water”. When we travel in the desert, there is no water. At that time, this store of water helps us to survive in the desert”.
Oh, how amazing. It’s excellent. God is so great who has made us safe. Dear Mom! I have one more question to ask.
Ask my dear baby. Replied the mother camel.
“Why our feet and legs are different from other animals? We have long legs and round and flat feet”? Asked the camel baby.
“My dear baby camel, you are very wise and always ask wise questions. Our long legs and flat rounded feet help us to walk comfortably and freely in the desert. These enable us to move around in the sand.”
“Our eyelashes are also different. These are too long. While the other animals have not such eyelashes”? Asked the camel baby.
Our long eyelashes protect our eyes from the flying sand. These act as a protective shield for us. Mother replied.
The baby camel became silent and said after a while. Mother God is very merciful. “We have humps to store water for our survival during desert journeys, we have long and flat feet to walk freely in the forest and long eyelashes to protect from the sandstorm, then what are we doing in a zoo?” The mother was astonished and could not give an answer.
