Once upon a time, there lived a clever fox in a forest. One day she was walking in search of food. At once she fell into a well. H held on tightly some roots at the side of the well. He started to cry for help. Just then a bear walked by the well. He heard the fox crying and found her hanging.
Oh! “Dear sister. What has happened to you? How you fell into this well?”
 “I did not fall into the well. I come here to help the villager”? Fox replied.
“What do you mean”? Asked the wolf.
“Most of the well in this village has gone to dry. The villagers do not want this well to be dried. They asked me for help. So I am here to holding the water”. Replied the clever fox.
“What will you get in return”?  Asked the bear.
“The villagers will give me a lot of money. They also promise me to arrange my food daily. Above these all, the villagers will also arrange me a big house to live. Now I will enjoy the life and will have no fear of storm, rain or snowfall”. Foxed said.
“Oh very strange. It’s excellent. How lucky you are? You have made an excellent agreement. But it’s too difficult to remain in this position throughout the time”. Said the bear.
“You are thinking wrong. I will not stay in the well whole the day. My friend jackal will soon join me and we exchanged the duty. I have learned how to hold the water. I will teach him the same trick. Both of us are partners in this deed. He will also enjoy the same facilities offered by the villagers”. The clever fox satisfied the foolish wolf.
Dear Fox! “Would you please join me in this deal? I also want a lot of money and a house. To get food daily after a little effort is also an excellent offer”. Requested the bear.
“Certainly, it is very difficult. The villagers may not be agreed. But do not worry. I will force them to join you also in this services”. Go away and fetch a long rope so that I will help you to get into the well”. Fox replied.
So the foolish bear brought a strong rope. Fetching the rope, up came the fox and down went the bear. “What is the secret of holding the water?” Asked the bear from the bottom of the well.
The fox laughed and said, “I do not know the secret of holding the water but I can teach you the secret of life – Don’t dream during the day and be greedy. Think before you leap and never trust people blindly”.

Moral. Greed is a curse.
