Short Stories with Moral
Sam and Tom were indistinguishable twins. They were identical to the point that even their mom thought that it was hard to recognize one from the other. Other than their appearance, by nature both the brothers were altogether different from each other. Sam had no friends, while Tom was an awesome kinship creator. Sam cherished desserts, yet Tom adored spicy nourishment and loathed desserts. Sam was mama's pet and Tom was daddy's pet. While Sam was liberal and magnanimous, Tom was voracious and egotistical!
As Sam and Tom grew up, their dad needed to share his wealth equally among them. Tom did not agree and argued that whoever turned out to be more wise, intelligent and strong, would have to get a greater share of the wealth.
Sam agreed. Their dad decided a competition between the two. He asked both to stroll as long as they could and return home before dusk. The wealth would be divided in the extent to the distance covered. As a rule of competition, neither was allowed to keep a watch to monitor the time.
The next day, Sam and Tom set out to walk. It was a somewhat radiant day. Sam strolled gradually and consistently, while Tom broke into a dash as he was keen on winning the race and furthermore winning a more noteworthy part of his dad's riches.
Sam realized that it is perfect to stroll quite far till twelve and begin for home at twelve as it would require a similar measure of investment to stroll back home. Knowing this, Sam planned to turn back for home at twelve so as achieve home on time.
Tom, with his insatiability to gain more riches, did not endeavor to return home even after mid-twelve. He strolled twice the length Sam, and thought he would, in any case, have the capacity to return home before nightfall. He rushed back when he saw the sun turn orange. He couldn't make it halfway home as the sunset. Gradually haziness inundated his way and he needed to drag his worn-out feet back home. He had lost the race. Simply because of his eagerness.
Moral
Greed is a curse.
