The Fox and the Grapes
Kids Short Stories
Short Stories with Moral
One evening, a fox was strolling through the woods and watched a bunch of grapes swinging from an elevated branch. "Simply the thing to extinguish my thirst," said the fox.
Making a couple of strides back, the fox bounced and simply missed the hanging grapes. Once more, the fox took a couple of paces back and attempted to reach them, yet fizzled.
At last, surrendering, the fox turned up his nose and stated, "They're likely sour." Then he left.
